Enderrock organizes two award ceremonies in Girona

A new proposal

The renowned Enderrock award splits its celebration into two ceremonies in Girona. This decision responds to the desire to promote the field of classical music, jazz and music for family audiences, areas that have gained prominence in the music scene.

The first gala will remain in the usual format and will take place in the Auditorium, while the second ceremony will focus on awards dedicated to family, classical and jazz music and will be held a few days earlier at the La Mercè Cultural Centre.

New dimension of awards

Enderrock, after commemorating the 25th anniversary of the awards last year, presents eight new nominations in addition to the usual ones. These new nominations are particularly focused in the area of jazz, classical music and family entertainment.

In addition to the critics’ awards, the popular awards and the honorary awards, thirty-five awards will be awarded in total, in a clear display of increased diversity and recognition in the musical community.

The special awards

Outstanding recognitions

Among the special awards, there are five critics’ awards, five popular awards and three special awards called 440 awards. The latter include distinctions such as the 440 Award of Honor, awarded to the composer and conductor Antoni-Ros Marbà, the Premi 440 in Trajectoria, which will honor Horacio Fumero, and the 440 Award for Best Composer, which will go to Joan Magrané.

Recognition of musical trajectories

The ceremony will feature performances by renowned names such as Quartet Gerhard, Alba Careta, Mar Pujol and Maria Jaume, among others. In addition, recognition will also be given to prominent figures in the music industry.

Great gala at the Girona Auditorium

The culminating ceremony of the Enderrock awards will take place at the prestigious Girona Auditorium on March 14. Twenty-two awards will be presented during this evening, including eight critics’ awards, ten popular awards and four special awards.

This gala will include tributes to Jaume Sisa and Pascal Comelade for their half century of musical career. In addition, the Honorary Enderrock award will be given to Jaume Sisa coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the recording of the album Anytime the sun can rise.

Recognitions in the music community

The gala will have as its peak the performances of prominent artists such as Figa Flawas, Guillem Gisbert, Manel or Ginestà, in addition to recognizing the work of other emerging musicians. This musical diversity promises a dynamic and vibrant evening for all attendees.
