Mollet del Vallès promotes its economic activity with LED screens

A project financed with European Next Generation funds

The municipality of Mollet del Vallès has launched an innovative project to spread and promote its commercial and cultural activities, as well as its economic development actions. These are five LED screens located in strategic places in the city, which will show up-to-date and attractive information about the different initiatives that are carried out in the territory.

The locations of the LED screens

The LED screens, which work with low-consumption technology, are installed on Avinguda Llibertat, at the intersection of Jaume I with Gaietà Vínzia, in Can Borrell Park, in Can Pantiquet Center and in Parc de les Pruneres with Rambla Pompeu Fabra. These are places with a large influx of public and visibility, which will allow to reach a large number of citizens and visitors.

Content management

Mollet del Vallès Town Council is responsible for planning, designing and managing the content that will be broadcast on the LED screens. The contents will be varied and dynamic, and will include information on commercial and cultural activities, fairs, campaigns and economic development actions carried out in the municipality. The aim is to promote local economic activity and encourage responsible and local consumption.

The framework of the project

This project is part of the agreement with the Provincial Council of Barcelona to develop urban economic promotion areas (APEU) in 10 municipalities in the province, including Mollet del Vallès. The initiative, which has funding from European Next Generation funds and the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, aims to transform and modernize urban commercial areas through digitization, among other measures.
