The relationship between politics and justice

Interdisciplinarity as a source of enrichment

I like to combine – in an orderly way – different areas of knowledge, even if they seem very distant. As interconnected behaviors, they feed each other and all benefit. But when politics and justice are mixed, and they do so in a not very subtle and not at all clear way, both are harmed. And above all, democracy comes out damaged.

The separation of powers as a guarantee of the rule of law

When some politicians act as judges and some judges act as politicians, the structure of the rule of law is weakened and distrust grips the public. Ethics and honesty are essential in the development of any activity, especially in political and judicial action. Petra K. Kelly, in the eighties of the previous century, defended at the same time the value of tenderness in politics, which does not imply laxity or fragility, but acting with delicacy and sweetness. It would be good if tenderness also permeated the judicial bodies, which means nothing more than acting with fairness and justice.
