Analysis of political survey in Catalonia
A recent survey of the Institute of Political Science and Social Science (ICPS) revealed that Left Republican of Catalonia (ERC) would win the next elections to Parliament with a vote estimate of 19,7%.
The survey results indicate that ERC will overcome the Party of Cataluña’s Socialists (PSC) and Together that they would get 16,4% and 15 percent respectively.
Details of the problem poll and margin
The survey was carried out with a sample of 1,200 people larger than 18 years between October 31 and 20 November. The survey has a margin of more than 2,8% error.
Other poll results
The survey also showed that other political forces such as Common We can (5,8%), the People’s Candalture (CUP – 4,2%), the Popular Party (P-4%), Vox (2, %4) and Citizens (Cs – 0.6%) also got support.
Political Context & Future
This survey is presented at a crucial time, as it matches the negotiations of the 2024 Generality budget. During this period, a dynamic has also been observed changing in other polls, indicating the complexity of the current political situation in Catalonia.
Having these results, Western citizens are preparing for possible elections on February 2025, if there is no agreement to approve the budget.
