Never carry this card in your wallet: it could cost you €30,000

The Civil Guard warns about a prohibited card

Leaving home without your wallet and cards is unthinkable for many people. The DNI, driver’s license or credit cards are essential for day-to-day life. But there’s one card you should never carry in your wallet, because it’s totally banned and could get you a hefty fine.

This is a card that is shaped like a folding razor and can be very dangerous in certain situations. The Civil Guard has warned through its social networks that carrying this card is illegal and can result in a fine of up to €30,000 according to article 36.10 of the Citizen Security Law.

A fashion that can be very expensive

This razor-featured card has become popular for its convenience and discretion, but it’s also a stealthy blade weapon that can cause serious damage. The Civil Guard has shown in a video on TikTok how this card works and has asked citizens not to carry it in their wallet if they do not want to risk an astronomical fine.

Please note that only authorized razors are permitted and officers may confiscate a razor if they feel there is a potential risk with it. “Do you have one of these cards in your wallet?” asks the Civil Guard to its followers.

The recommendation of the Civil Guard

“Know that carrying it can result in a fine of up to €30,000. If you’re going out tonight, leave this card at home,” advises the Civil Guard in its video, which has been viewed more than 300,000 times.

So, if you have one of these cards in your wallet, the best thing to do is to get rid of it and not put yourself or others at risk. In addition to being dangerous, do not forget that it is forbidden to carry this type of razor-shaped card.
