Criticism of the influence of the Commons and the CUP in Catalonia

BARCELONA, March 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of Citizens in Parliament, Carlos Carrizosa, has urged the first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, to “promote a real change” in the budgets of the Generalitat for 2024, which he has described as politicians and electoralists.

“Now he has the opportunity not to follow this line and to be truly disruptive and brave from a political point of view”, said Carrizosa in the plenary session of the Parliament this Wednesday to debate the amendments to the totality of the budgets, where he accused the socialists to give — verbatim — a safe conduct to the ERC Government in exchange for ERC doing it with the Pedro Sánchez Government.

Thus, he assured that the accounts “seek calm for an election year” and regretted that they are continuing because they do not propose anything different, according to him, from what has been done in the last decade in Catalonia.

A Government active in the process and paralyzed in the economic

“We have here a Government that is very active in the process and paralyzed in the economic one,” said Carrizosa, who also asked the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, to work for a united Catalonia for everyone, in her words .

Hard Rock Project

Regarding the Hard Rock project, the main obstacle to the Government’s agreement with the Commons, Carrizosa has urged Aragonès to affirm that it will not be carried out: “The moment Mr. Aragonès says this, the Hard Rock investors they will have the green light to claim compensation for all the time, this decade, that they have invested money and that they will lose it.”

“They will also be hoping, like Mrs. Albiach, for Mr. Aragonès to say clearly ‘we will not do the Hard Rock’ so they can run away from here,” Carrizosa said in reference to the request of the leader of the Commons, Jéssica Albiach. to discard the project.

Criticism of the influence of the Commons and the CUP

In this sense, Carrizosa has criticized the “influence” he believes the Commons and the CUP have in Catalonia and has affirmed that — verbatim — degrowth has dominated Catalonia despite the agreements between the Socialists and the ERC.
