Rescue in Natural Pools

A 36-year-old man and a 13-year-old girl were injured in an incident in the natural pools of Santiago del Teide, Tenerife.

Emergency on site

The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands reported that the minor fell into the water after a hit by the sea, and the man jumped in to help her.

Assistance and Rescue

The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated the girl and the man, who had lacerations and moderate hypothermia. Later, they were transferred to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital in ambulances.

The rescue also involved members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, who rescued those affected from the rock area.
