This year, daylight saving time will be extended until the last weekend in October. At that time, the clocks will go back one hour to adjust to winter time. That is, at 03:00 in the morning, the clocks will go back to 02:00.

The possibility of maintaining daylight saving time

The possibility of eliminating the time change and maintaining the same schedule throughout the year has been considered for some time. Initially, the European Commission planned to make a decision on this in 2021, but due to the pandemic, it has been delayed. Although 64% of Europeans are in favor of maintaining daylight saving time all year round, experts have not yet reached a definitive conclusion.

Effects of time change

Time change can cause tiredness and drowsiness in some people. It is recommended to avoid long naps and heavy dinners on the Saturday night before the time change.
