Paris Saint-Germain and its goals
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shown interest in several FC Barcelona stars, as well as intending to move ahead of Joan Laporta and Deco in the auction for several players.
One of those targets is Bernardo Silva, who PSG will try to sign from Manchester City. This player has been an obsession for Xavi Hernández in the last summer markets, but the financial demands of the English club have prevented his departure.
Changes in planning
Surprisingly, the arrival of coach Hans-Dieter Flick has changed the outlook on the signing of Bernardo Silva. Flick does not consider it a priority and has advised against this addition to Laporta and Deco.
Instead, Flick has recommended investing the available resources in other more needed positions, such as right back, defensive pivot or left wing.

PSG are in advanced negotiations with Bernardo Silva and it is expected that his signing can be announced in the coming weeks.
Luis Campos, who was already responsible for the signing of Silva at AS Monaco, has been the one who has personally convinced the Portuguese player to join Luis Enrique’s project.
Bernardo Silva’s role at PSG
Bernardo Silva will have the mission to replace Kylian Mbappé, who has left PSG. The French club are confident that Silva can help fill the void left by the French star’s departure.
In addition, PSG hope that Silva can break ties with Pep Guardiola and FC Barcelona, as the player has been targeted by both clubs in the past.
