The Ministry will finance the costs of the partial retirements of the teachers of the charter schools

The collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the concerted centres

The Ministry of Education and Universities, together with the representatives of the partner schools, has signed a collaboration agreement to finance the costs of the partial retirements of the teachers of the partner schools. This initiative aims to guarantee the continuity of the teaching in these centers and provide support to teachers in the retirement process.

Financing of payroll and social security expenses

Through this agreement, the Ministry of Education and Universities undertakes to finance all the payroll and social security expenses for the partial retirement of teachers born before December 31, 1963 until they reach the legal retirement age [[1]](https://www.ara.cat/llengua/5-arguments-5-trucs-no-canviar-llengua-no-incomodi_1_4544047.html). This includes both the expenses of the teachers who retire and those of the relief workers and co-operators of the concerted centres.

Commitment for the future

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Universities has committed to start negotiations in 2025 for the partial retirement of teachers born on January 1, 1964. The purpose of this measure is to guarantee the sustainability of the education system and ensure an appropriate transition in the generational succession of teachers in charter schools.
