The Valencia Judo Club in search of victory

This weekend, the third and final day of the “Francisco Valcárcel Memorial” National League will take place in Madrid, where the Valencia Judo Club will seek to defend its title in the 1st Men’s and Women’s Division. The Valencian team will travel to the capital with the aim of revalidating the success obtained last season.

A decisive competition

The third day of the National League will be crucial to determine the champion. The first two days took place in April and May, and now comes the time for the big outcome at the CETD Villaviciosa de Odón. The Valencian judokas are ready to give everything and secure their position on the leaderboard.

Leading in the 1st Women’s and Men’s Division

In the 1st Women’s Division, the Valencia Judo Club leads the “Liga 2B” group, ahead of the Madrid clubs of JC Sotillo, CDE Judo Fontenebro and JC Kaizen. In the “Liga 2B” group, Judokan Valencia is in second place, followed by JC Akari (Canary Islands), Sakura and Judo Torrejón (Madrid).

In the Men’s 1st Division, Valencia Club de Judo leads the “Liga 1A” group, followed by Girona Judo-Securitas (Catalonia), CD Ronin and JC Torrellano, both from the Valencian Community.

Individual success

In addition to the team’s achievements, Valencian judoka Odalis Santiago was crowned champion of the Junior European Cup in Birmingham in the -57 kg category. Demonstrating her talent and skill, Santiago defeated renowned competitors on her way to the gold medal.
