The National Police arrests a person engaged in marijuana trafficking
The National Police has arrested a person engaged in the production and distribution of marijuana in a house located in Botarell. This operation was carried out after receiving anonymous information pointing to illegal activities at the property.
Investigation and arrest
After carrying out an exhaustive investigation and thanks to the surveillance and monitoring carried out by police attached to the Local Judicial Police UDYCO Brigade of the Reus Police Station, it was possible to verify that the information received was true.
Once the judicial authorization was received, the entry and registration of the address proceeded. As a result, the manager of the plantation was arrested, who was involved in trafficking the processed substance.
Confiscation of weapons and illegal substances
During the search, a mock CO2 gun and a large amount of ammunition were seized, as well as indoor growing equipment and utensils such as lights and fans. In addition, a total of 596 marijuana plants, two kilos of marijuana buds processed and prepared for sale and distribution in the illegal market were confiscated.
Cyclic cultivation and detention
The cultivation of marijuana was carried out cyclically and constantly. During the registration, plants already processed as a final product were located, others in the drying phase, others ready for harvest and finally some revived to produce a new harvest. The person in charge of the plantation was brought before the Court of Instruction number 1 of Reus and charged with drug trafficking.
