Demonstration in Madrid and its repercussions in Spain

A day of demonstrations in Madrid

Last night, I arrived in Madrid from Santander by train. I decided to go to Ferraz to pray the rosary against Sánchez and Puigdemont. Today, I joined a rally in Plaza Cibeles in Madrid to express my displeasure against a corrupt and shameless government. These are the words of Mercedes, a retired lady who has joined thousands of other ultra-Spanish demonstrators in this day of protest.

Reasons for the protest

Mercedes did not come alone, but accompanied by her friends Neli, Pilar and Carmen. All of them are protesting against an amnesty law that they consider protects those who attacked the police during the 1-O referendum. In addition, they express their dissatisfaction with the Koldo case, which reminds them of past scandals such as that of Roldán or Tito Berni. These demonstrators have also applauded the words of the founder of Vox, Alejo Vidal Quadras, who has assured that Spain is going through a dark moment under the current government.

Repercussions and participation

The demonstration, despite not being the most massive, crowded Plaza Cibeles in Madrid with the presence of 15,000 attendees, according to the Spanish government delegation. This rally was organized by various entities and had the support of the PP and Vox. In addition, it has been supported by several entities such as the Fundación Foro Libertad y Alternativa (L&A), Unión 78, Pie en Pared, Consenso y Regeneración, among others.

conclusion

Thus, the day of demonstrations in Madrid was a significant event that attracted national attention. The words of Mercedes and other protesters reflect the discontent and concern of a part of Spanish society, showing the diversity of opinions and the current political tension in Spain.
