Félix Bolaños claims that the ILP for DUI has no future and that the PP knows it

The Minister of the Presidency responds to PP deputy Nacho Martín Blanco, who accuses the Spanish government of amnestying the corruption of pro-independence parties

ACN Madrid – The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has defended that right now “only 10% of Catalans are in favor of a unilateral solution to the political problem in Catalonia and that both he and the PP “know” that the Initiative Popular Legislature (ILP) which is being debated in Parliament – with the support of Junts and the CUP – for the unilateral declaration of independence “will not go anywhere”. “It won’t have any effect, just like the pro-independence process didn’t have it or the policies of the PP that were so harmful for coexistence”, he said in response to a question from PP deputy Nacho Martín Blanco.

Blanco, for his part, has reproached the Spanish government for “forgiving the corruption of the secessionist parties that took place in 2017”. “They are doing it, among others, forgiving the embezzlement of public money by the Department of Social Rights of the Generalitat”, he said, and therefore “I can already see how corruption bothers them”.

The Spanish government, more concerned about the “declaration of independence of Mr. Ábalos” than that of the Parliament, according to the PP

According to Martín Blanco, the Spanish government is more interested in the “declaration of independence of Mr. Ábalos” than in the declaration of independence in Parliament “which is being promoted by his parliamentary partners”.

“I understand that those involved in the ‘Koldo case’ are nervous, but they can always proclaim themselves pro-independence in order to be forgiven,” he said. According to Martín Blanco, the Socialists “would do better to obey Puigdemont less and listen more to the judges”.

“From the PP we will not allow them to do with Spain what Sánchez is doing with his party: degrade it morally, and ruin it ethically”.

Bolaños reminds the PP that under his government there were more pro-independence than now

In his reply, Bolaños reprimanded the PP for not talking about the amnesty “since we know what Mr. Feijóo really thinks”, referring to the statements he made during the Galician campaign to a group of journalists about the fact that he had explored this possibility as part of the negotiations with Junts for his investiture.

“Since we know that Mr. Feijóo likes pardons and that amnesty is something to consider for reconciliation in Catalonia, you say nothing about it.” “The amnesty law, like the pardons, will serve to achieve full coexistence and reunion in Catalonia,” he said.

In this sense, Bolaños recalled that when the PP governed there were “more Catalans who wanted independence than those who wanted to remain in Spain”, and today, with the socialist government, the percentage of those who want to remain in Spain “is eleven higher points”.

“That’s why I tell him that our policies, which are the reason for this change of opinion, are the ones that are making Spain better, more livable, and that’s why the Catalans turned the page of Ciutadans, and then the PP” , has said.
