The industrialists of Can Prat Nord are holding a vote to decide on the creation of an entity to manage the Urban Economic Promotion Area (APEU) in the estate. This initiative is promoted by the Agrupació d’Industrials del Baix Vallès and seeks to establish a collaboration between companies and public administrations for the improvement and financing of industrial zones
Constitution of the APEU
For the constitution of the APEU, a vote is being held among the holders of the right of occupation of the warehouses located in Can Prat Nord. This voting is in person and takes place at the headquarters of the Baix Vallès Industrial Group. Among the companies that have the right to vote are Marcilla, PreZero and Cartonajes Miralles
Objectives of the APEU
The main objective of the APEU is to establish a collaboration between companies and the City Council for the improvement of industrial zones. This will allow a specific item to be earmarked for the landfill and speed up the implementation of cleaning, maintenance and conservation projects. According to Demián Pau Tabbia, deputy general secretary of the Agrupació d’Industrials del Baix Vallès, this initiative is a 5-year pilot test that will have annual funding of around 50,000 euros, contributed in equal parts by the Mollet Town Council and companies
Participation and financing
For the constitution of the APEU to be effective, the participation of at least half of the owners of the ships is necessary. In addition, the companies that vote against will also be obliged to pay the corresponding fee if the managing body ends up being set up. Voting takes place from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the headquarters of the Industrial Association of Baix Vallès, located at Carrer Santa Rosa 24, Sant Fost de Campsentelles
