A theatrical itinerary to give visibility to the work of women from Manresa

On Saturday 16 March, from 2/4 at 11 in the morning, a theatrical itinerary entitled ‘Manresanes from the world of music’ will be carried out through various spaces in the city of Manresa. This activity aims to give visibility to the work of the women performers, composers and pedagogues of Manresa. The itinerary, which is part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, is organized by the Municipal Women’s Council and is free for everyone.

Discovering Manresa women in music

During this fourth edition of the itinerary, the life and work of several women from Manres who have dedicated their lives to music will be made known. Some of these outstanding women are the soprano Margarida Elias Casals, the composer Teresa Borràs Fornell and the teachers Blanca Morera Tardà, Concepció Piniella Blanqué and Rosa Miró Camps, among others. The itinerary will be explanatory, dramatized and will include musical experiences. The participants will visit the Municipal Conservatory of Music, the Orfeó Manresà venue and the small hall of the Kursaal Theatre.

An activity led by professionals

The activity will be led and coordinated by Conxita Parcerisas Estruch and Roser Rojas Simats, with the participation of actresses from the Paranys theater group and the collaboration of musicologist Glòria Ballús Casòliva.
