The defense of the president of the Congress
Armengol appeared this Tuesday morning in Congress to defend that, when he presided over the Balearic government, he acted “legally” with the purchase of masks from the company Soluciones de gestioni, linked to the Koldo case, and denied any link with the plot .
The response to the accusations of the PP
The PP had asked him to resign after attributing to him a “key role” in the plot. The president of the lower house has asked for “responsibility” from the people.
The defense of actions during the pandemic
Armengol has maintained that neither she nor any member of her government “is being investigated”, and has recalled that the purchase of masks during the pandemic was made in a context of difficulty and urgency.

The president of the Congress has explained the efforts made to provide the Balearic Islands with protective material in the midst of a pandemic, recalling that the government she presided over did everything possible to ask for the return of the money for some masks bought as FFP2 but then only they served as “surgical”.
The position before the accusations
Persecuted by the opposition, the president of Congress has been decisive about her behavior and has sent a message to the PP: “I will not let them smear my name or mix my name, my management and that of my government with anything that resembles corruption”.
Visibly upset and nervous, Armengol has argued that she would “do it again” as she did at the time, defending the actions of her executive.
