Together and ERC satisfied with the changes to the amnesty law
Junts and ERC have been satisfied with the changes made to the amnesty law during the Justice commission. The two pro-independence formations have applauded the pact reached with the PSOE and have emphasized that the text covers all those involved in the pro-independence process. In addition, they have pointed out that the rule will serve to limit the action of the judiciary, thus cutting off the possibility of it going further in its imagination and fabrication.
Criticism of the judiciary
Despite satisfaction with the final text of the law, both Junts and ERC have criticized the judiciary, which will be in charge of applying the rule. They have warned that there are political forces and members of the judiciary who will try to torpedo the law, but they trust the guarantees offered by the text so that it goes ahead.
President Aragonès celebrates the approval of the law
The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, has celebrated the approval of the amnesty law and described it as the beginning of the end of a nightmare. He emphasized that the repression has led to imprisonment and threats for hundreds of people and expressed his confidence that this law will allow the process to return to the political arena.
