The Court of Barcelona will judge this Wednesday the well-known rapper Morad, 24 years old
The Court of Barcelona will hold a trial this Wednesday against the well-known rapper Morad, 24 years old, who faces a possible sentence of up to seven years in prison. The young man, originally from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, is accused of attacking local police officers in his city.
Accusations and incidents
According to the authorities, the events took place in the summer of 2021, in August, when Morad was recording a video clip in the street without the proper permits. After local police officers warned him to stop recording, a confrontation ensued between the rapper and the officers. According to the local police force, Morad incited the people accompanying him to attack the officers, generating a situation of violence.
About 150 members of the public and extras participated in the video clip, and according to witnesses and residents of the area, the noise and disturbance caused by this filming was significant. When the officers arrived at the scene, they were scolded and attacked with eggs and stones by the people who participated in the video clip. Morad, according to the indictments, made inflammatory and hostile comments toward the officers.
Judicial records
This trial is not the first legal process Morad has faced. The rapper has had other run-ins with the police in the past. However, this trial is considered the most serious to date.
In short, the Barcelona Court will judge the rapper Morad this Wednesday for attacking local police officers during the recording of a video clip in the street. The trial will determine if the rapper is guilty of the charges and what sentence he will face if found guilty.
