Abigail Hopkins is the daughter of the famous actor Anthony Hopkins. Although her father is a Hollywood legend, Abigail has remained largely out of the public spotlight. She has not been linked with her father and has claimed that he is to blame for many of the traumas and problems she has suffered. On one occasion, she claimed that her father had destroyed her.

Anthony Hopkins married Petronella Barker in 1966 and they had a daughter, Abigail, on August 20, 1968. But the couple divorced in 1972. Abigail has explained that her father was not much of a presence at home when she she was small and that there were strong arguments between her parents. She has expressed her displeasure with the way her father treated her mother and said she will never forgive him. After the divorce, Anthony Hopkins also rejected his daughter.
