A Space for Sustainability
The Cub Space of the Nau de les Encavallades in Igualada becomes an epicenter of sustainable innovation with the exhibition dedicated to the winners of the Catalonia Ecodesign Award 2023. Organized by the Waste Agency of Catalonia, this exhibition highlights the creativity and ingenuity of Catalan designers committed to the environment.
Recognize Responsible Design
The Catalonia Ecodisseny Award seeks to highlight products and services that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also integrate sustainable practices throughout their life cycle. The use of eco-design strategies is valued, as well as their contribution to the circular economy, the quality and innovation they bring to the market.
An Ecodesign Model
The exhibition has been designed strictly following the principles of eco-design, with a focus on waste reduction. Using recycled materials and reuse techniques, each element of the exhibition is designed to minimize environmental impact, promoting a circular economy.
Efficient Construction
The exhibition modules have been created with a focus on efficiency, using as little material as possible and designed for ease of transport and assembly. The exhibition graphics, printed on colored background vinyl, have been optimized to reduce the number of models used, leaving the back side of the panels with their base material, kraft paper.
Ecological Printing
The concept of Green Print has been implemented, using digital printing techniques that are respectful of the environment. The materials used are PVC-free and the inks used contain low levels of metals and VOCs, thus contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.
