Weather disturbance on the way

The Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC) has issued an alert about the imminent arrival of a disturbance that will affect the coast and pre-coastal of Catalonia, as well as the interior of the Valencian Country. Moderate showers are expected, locally with storms, and snowfall in specific places, with a possible accumulation of up to 500 meters in height.

NEUCAT pre-alert

Civil Protection has activated the NEUCAT pre-alert against the possibility of accumulation of more than 20 centimeters of new snow above 1,400 meters in several areas, including Andorra, Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Jussà and Pallars Sobirà. The snow level is expected to drop gradually, reaching around 500-700 meters tomorrow at noon in other areas such as Osona, Moianès, Selva and Vallès Oriental.

Effects of the Storm

The most active part of the storm is expected to pass during the night and early morning, with widespread rain. However, it is expected that in the morning the clear skies and the sun will return, especially in the Valencian Country. The storm will move towards Mallorca and Menorca.

Other Alerts

In addition to the weather warning, the wave warning has also been activated for the entire coast, with waves between two and three meters, as well as for winds, especially tomorrow.
