More than 53,000 euros for Carnival groups
The Los Llanos de Aridane City Council has granted more than 53,000 euros to the Carnival groups, in order to “recognize the creativity, commitment and enthusiasm of the 16 troupes, the carnival characters, a batucada and the nine designers who created fantasies,” according to a statement.
The Fiestas councilor appreciates the work of the groups
The Festival Councilor, Álvaro Pages, has expressed his gratitude to all the groups for their dedication, as well as for the effort they make throughout the year to make the Los Llanos Carnival one of the most outstanding in the Canary Islands.
“We greatly value the work of all the troupes, the batucada and the designers for their essential contribution,” he said. “Their talent, their enthusiasm and their involvement are fundamental to preserving this tradition so appreciated by all our neighbors,” added the councilor.
The City Council is committed to the Carnival and its protagonists
The councilor explained that, like every year, the City Council financially supports these groups “as a sign of their good work and the relevance that the City Council gives to the Carnival and its protagonists.” In this sense, he has encouraged them “to continue collaborating together to make next year’s Carnival an even more spectacular and lively party.”
The City Council prepares the 2025 Carnivals and other festivities
The City Council is already working to define the 2025 Carnivals, at the same time as finalizing the details of Holy Week and also the patron saint festivities of Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios.
