We celebrate Sant Medir, co-patron of our city

A special gathering day in our municipality

This Sunday, March 3, we celebrate Sant Medir, co-patron of our city. This is a special gathering day in our municipality: how nice it is to walk around and be able to say hello to as many people as you go! How impressive it is to see the giants walking towards the hermitage!

A farmer and martyr

Sant Medir was a farmer, a man who cultivates the land and who knows that his fruit depends on his sweat, but also on the gift of rain. Without water, the earth cannot bear fruit. I imagine Saint Medir imploring God for the gift of rain for the Serra de Collserola.

A proposal for this year

This year I make a proposal to all of you who attend the gathering: when you arrive at the hermitage, pray to Saint Medir so that we can receive the gift of rain that he implored so much. During the mass of the gathering, which will take place at 12:45, we will also pray for this much needed gift from heaven. I recommend that you go up with an umbrella as a sign of faith in the intercession of our saint. We are in a situation of extreme drought and we ask for water to grow beans, our crops, the vegetation of the mountains and our reservoirs.
