An event that joins forces for a good cause
The first edition of the Women’s Walk in Lleida has been a resounding success, with the participation of a thousand people who have helped to raise 5,000 euros for cancer research. The event has been designed not only as a sports competition, but as a playful celebration of gender equality.
A lifetime iinerari and color
The participants have traveled about 6 km, with a route that included a route along the river Segre, passing through the floodgates, the Parc de la Mitjana, the Avenida Pearson and the Pont de Pardinyes. In addition, it has been guaranteed that a hundred people in vulnerability could participate for free, ensuring that everyone could enjoy this experience.
Varied activities for all
The event has not only been a hike, but also a party full of activities. Before and after the race, attendees were able to participate in hypopressive warming sessions and zumba classes with Dance Factory. In addition, a draw has allowed the winners to take attractive prizes such as a weekend getaway and lots of beauty products.
Institutional and Community Support
The Deputy Mayor, Carme Valls, thanked all the collaborators and participants for their contribution to the cause of equality. Other political figures, such as Mayor Fèlix Larrosa and several councilors, were also present, highlighting the importance of this event in the fight against sexist violence.
An initiative in the Marc of the International Day of Les Dones
The Women’s Walk is part of a series of activities to commemorate International Women’s Day 2025. This action is part of the ‘1000 eyes’ campaign, which seeks to combat sexist violence, with a particular focus on sport in 2024.

The activity has been organized by the City Council of Lleida, in collaboration with the Department of Feminist Policy, Participation and Sports, with the logistics by XT Sport Events. Companies like Hyundai, Caixa Rural, and Plusfresc have been key sponsors, demonstrating a strong commitment to the cause.

With this first edition, Lleida marks a precedent in its struggle for gender equality and health. The event has not only been a hike, but also a demonstration of the strength of the community and its ability to join for noble causes.
