Alaró celebrates the Local Studies Days
Alaró will celebrate, for the first time, Local Studies Days next November thanks to the collaboration between the Al Rum collective and the City Council. The event will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of November at Casal de Son Tugores with the aim of deepening the knowledge of the local reality of Alaró from aspects such as history, heritage, culture or nature.
Bases and registrations
The scientific commission has already made public the bases that will govern this initiative and has opened the deadline for registrations that will close on October 10.
Assistance and certificate
Attendance at the Conference as a listener is open to everyone and if you attend all the sessions you will be issued a certificate of attendance.
Research topics
The research topics that are presented must be framed within the scope of the municipality of Alaró from any of the fields of scientific research. Communications must be in the Catalan language, original and unpublished. A maximum of one communication per person will be accepted.
Publication of communications
The Alaró City Council is committed to publishing within the year 2025 the communications that the Scientific Commission has selected. Once the volume of the 1st Alaró Local Studies Conference has been published, speakers will be given five copies for each individual communication and ten for each collective communication.
Declarations of the mayor
From the City Council, the mayor, Llorenç Perelló, explained that “in Alaró there has always been a great concern to rediscover and value our heritage, our history and our culture. What we do with these days is to try to channel this concern and create an event where all this knowledge is highlighted with the commitment that, from the City Council, we will do everything possible to spread it.’
Perelló also wanted to express his gratitude to the work of the members of the scientific commission and those of Al Rum who made this great initiative possible.
