One of the highest honors in the town

On December 19, 2023, Ramon Masats Tartera received the Medal of Honor from the town of Caldes, one of the most important recognitions awarded by the municipality. Masats thanked the tribute and remembered his origins in Calderina, where he lived until the age of 4, when he moved to Barcelona with his parents Aniceto Masats, Maria Tartera and his sister Francina. Caldes remained, however, the meeting place for his extended family, his uncles and cousins, who were the subject of many of his photographs.

A donation of books with his photographs

Ramon Masats has recently donated ten books containing the artist’s photographs of different eras, subjects and historical moments.
