A continued musical offer
The City Council of Torredembarra, through its Department of Culture, has decided to innovate with a new initiative that seeks to keep the music scene alive throughout the year. Following the success of summer and winter concerts, the new proposal, called ‘Sala del Mar’, promises to offer live performances every month, except in the summer, at which time the city already enjoys a wide range of musical activities.
Details of the concert cycle
The cycle ‘Sala del Mar’ will take place in April, May, June, October, November and December, with performances scheduled for the third Sunday of each month. The concerts will be organized in the Sala del Mar Cultural Space at 7.30 pm, with a price of entrance of 7 euros. Andrés Bastiani, a renowned musician, will collaborate in this initiative.
Impuls to local culture
The Councilor for Culture, Daniel Pujol, has expressed his satisfaction with the growing interest in live music, emphasizing that “the previous concerts have shown that the population seeks musical experiences beyond the summer”. With this new program, Torredembarra reaffirms his commitment to art and culture.
The impact of the previous cycles
The summer season, which took place from June 30 to August 18, attracted 582 spectators in five varied concerts, which included styles such as Jazz Fusion, Tango and Swing. Also, the winter cycle, made between November and February, had 390 attendees in four performances, with an average attendance of approximately 100 people per concert.
