A new tradition in the world of monkeys

The Huguet de Reus bread and pastry oven has successfully presented its latest creation: the chocolate easel dance. This new addition to chocolate monkeys was revealed at an event on Mayor Joan Beltran, with the presence of prominent local figures, including Mayor Sandra Guaita and Culture Councilor Daniel Recasens.

A tribute to the festive procession

The Ball de Cavallets joins a collection that began in 2009 with the creation of the Mulassa. In the following years, other iconic figures of the party, such as Eagle and India, found their chocolate version, with India introduced in 2022. This tradition, which celebrates local culture, was briefly interrupted by pandemic, but has returned strongly.

The details that make the difference

The mona of the chocolate hub dance, designed by the artist Manel Llaurador, stands out for its meticulous elaboration. It consists of three types of chocolate: white for the black easel, chocolate with milk for brown, and black chocolate at the base. With a weight of approximately 500 grams, the figure also incorporates bright colors such as red, yellow and lilac in its decorations.

Options for all tastes

For lovers of monkeys, the Cavallets Ball offers two options: a model with two easels, available for 60 euros, and a version that includes a knight along with the angel or macer, at a price of 48.50 euros. This price range allows more people to enjoy this unique delight.

A sweet and promising future

With this new addition, the Huguet Forn reaffirms its commitment to innovation and tradition. Chocolate easel dance is not only a dessert, but also a symbol of Reus’s cultural richness, and it is expected that it will continue to capture the hearts of the inhabitants and visitors for many more years.
