The City Council of Granollers has again been distinguished with the Infoparticipa label, an award that emphasizes its excellence in the field of communication and transparency. This certification, granted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, will evaluate the communicative capacities of public administrations annually.

On March 31, the Rectorate of the Autonomous University of Barcelona hosted the ceremony of the 12th edition of the InfoParticipa labels. Granollers has revalidated this important badge, which this year has been granted to 145 city councils and other administrative entities. To obtain it, the municipalities must demonstrate a high percentage of positive indicators, with a 95% threshold for populations of more than 50,000 inhabitants.
METHODOLOGY OF EVALUATION OF TRANSPARENCY
Infoparticipa carries out an exhaustive evaluation of the transparency of institutional websites through a set of questions that address key issues such as the identification of political positions, the management of technological and economic resources, as well as the options for citizen participation. New requirements in evaluation
In this edition, one of the novelties has been the inclusion of the evaluation of the ethical mailbox, a mechanism that Granollers implemented in 2022. This electronic tool provides a secure channel so that any citizen can anonymously report irregularities or bad practices within the public administration, reinforcing the commitment of the consistory to integrity and transparency.
Innovation in citizen care
With the aim of optimizing communication and citizen care, the City Council has launched a new electronic attendance chat. This interactive tool, which appears as an emerging button on its website, provides support in a wide range of topics, including taxes, sanctions, job offers and vehicle -related procedures.
Chatbot features
Users can obtain information on payments, consult sanctions, access their citizen folder, and manage diverse procedures, all in an agile and accessible way. This system complements the assistance that is already offered through the Citizen Support Office, both on the telephone and in person.
