Unanimous approval for a new emergency center
The recent plenary of the City of Deltebre has witnessed a historical moment, with the unanimous approval of an initiative that seeks to establish a Primary Care Emergency Center (CUAP) in the municipality. This decision, which reflects a clear desire to improve health care, has been supported by all members of the consistory.
The Necessity of a Referring Health Center
The proposal not only involves the creation of the CUAP, but also claims the need for a reference health center, called the Delta Health Center. This space is proposed to address health problems that require low to moderate complexity, including x -ray services and analytics to detect urgent pathologies.
A commitment to the community
Mayor Lluís Soler said that this initiative is a response to the repeated demands of the community, with the aim of improving local health care and providing more efficient services for both the population of Deltebre and the Delta as a whole.
A full past and future expectations
This is the third time that the City of Deltebre has requested the increase in services of the current primary care center, in the hope that this proposal will be incorporated into the new Health Plan that is in the process of writing by the Generalitat.
Criticism and reflections of the opposition
Joan Alginet, spokesman for the opposition, called for words to the facts, emphasizing the need for specific actions. He has expressed concern about what he considers to be an disinterest on the part of the Generalitat in recent years and has questioned the role of the City Council in this context.
Report of the Ombudsman
Rosa Maria Vandellós Lleixà, the Ombudsman of Deltebre, presented an annual report to the plenary that covers the period between March 2024 and March 2025. This report details the actions performed, the citizen complaints and the mediation between the citizens and the local administration.
Performances and complaints
During this period, the Sindicatura has managed a total of 12 written actions, with 10 complaints, 1 claim and 1 trade action related to a mosquito plague last summer. In addition, multiple oral consultations and visits have been attended.
Topics of citizen concern
The issues addressed include night noises, infrastructure problems, poor container location and moisture leaks in abandoned buildings. Applications that do not belong to the direct competition of the Sindicatura, such as labor issues and topics related to other administrations, have also been received.
