A birthday full of music and creativity
Next Friday, May 16, the city of Tarragona will testify to a unique celebration: the Municipal School of Music will commemorate three decades of musical passion with a spectacular concert at the Palau Firal and Congresses, which will begin at 18:30.
On this occasion, students of various levels, including the little ones, will take part of the event, displaying their talent through different formations such as choirs, combos and instrumental ensembles. Actress Neus Pàmies will be the presenter of the evening, while the illustrations by Octavi Torné will add a visual touch to the show.
A 30 -year musical journey
The Municipal Music School of Tarragona was born in 1994 with the mission of fostering musical training among the citizenry. Since then, it has experienced constant growth, expanding its educational offer and reaching thousands of students over the years.
With more than a thousand students a year, the school has diversified its initiatives, including innovative projects such as ‘Picantarols’, aimed at children from 0 to 3 years old, and ‘Mirasona’, focusing on music education in special education schools.
An expanded educational offer
In addition, the school has expanded in several schools in the city, offering classes of instruments such as guitar, violin and cello, as well as activities such as batucada and choral singing. This educational diversity reaches different neighborhoods, facilitating access to music at all ages.
