The Moors and Christians Festivities of Alcoy, held from May 2 to 5, have been a great tourist attraction, with a hotel occupation that has reached a significant 84.48%. This figure is an increase over 2024, when employment was 80.79%.

The most prominent increase is observed in local hotels and hostel, which have achieved 94.84% occupancy, exceeding 91.33% registered the previous year. This indicator provides a more accurate view of the tourist activity, as it excludes the variations that may occur in rural accommodation or tourist apartments with limited capacity.
Valuation of local authorities
The Councilor for Tourism, Lorena Zamorano, has expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained, emphasizing that the full occupation of hotel establishments reflects the attractiveness of Alcoy as a destination not only festive, but also cultural and natural. Zamorano emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and the City Council to achieve more sustainable and quality tourism.
An exceptional Entrance Day
During the day of the entrance, the response of the tourism sector was exceptional, with all establishments reaching a 100%occupation, except one that reached 95%and another at 50%. Alcoy currently has 13 tourist accommodation establishments, with 9 located inside the city and 4 in the vicinity, including hotels, hostels and tourist apartments.
