Summer preparations: sports and summer

Summer in Igualada approaches two exciting proposals that promise to provide fun and knowledge to children and young people. With sports and summer, organizers seek to foster coexistence and creativity in a safe and stimulating environment.

Sports: An unforgettable experience

The Sports, managed by the Sports Service of the City Council, will take place between June 23 and July 25, aimed at children from 4 to 14 years old. This initiative offers five weeks full of leisure and educational activities designed to promote healthy habits and teamwork.

Changes in distribution and activities

Due to the remodeling works at the Les Comes sports complex, a new distribution has been introduced by age. The youngest (born between 2015 and 2020) will enjoy activities in the sports complex, while adolescents (born between 2011 and 2014) will travel to the Joan Mercader Institute and in the Cyprus park.

Each group will be supervised by monitors and a coordinator, with schedules from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and reception service available from 8:00 am. In addition, a bus service with regular routes will be offered to facilitate access.

Summer: a house full of activities

On the other hand, the Children’s Department proposes the summer, a leisure house for children from 3 to 12 years old, which includes a range of varied activities such as creative workshops, water games, excursions and the popular bivouac night.

A city -focused theme

This year, the Casal will focus on the exploration of local heritage, with the aim of discovering and evaluating the emblematic spaces of Igualada. The opening of the program will be held in the Town Hall square with a show that will bring together all the summer houses in the area.

Dates and registrations: Don’t run out of place

The summer will be developed in two phases: from June 30 to August 1 in various schools such as Garcia Fossas and Gabriel Castellà, and from August 26 to September 5 in the slaughterhouse. Pre -registrations will be open until May 27 through the website infanciaryigualada.cat.

Prior to the start of the activities, a face -to -face meeting will be called with parents to present the news of the Casal Summer 2025, thus guaranteeing fluid communication between organizers and families.
