Decisive Decisive Interventions at C-1
Recently, a traffic patrol from the Mossos d’Esquadra was in a critical situation when he received a warning about a carved vehicle on the C-17, near Tona. Agents, recognized with the 20197 and 10324 numbers, arrived at the place just in time to see a young woman asking for help with a man lying on the floor, who did not show life signs. He apparently had suffered a heart attack.
Without wasting time, the agents, in collaboration with an out -of -service firefighter, placed the man on the ground and began the cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers (CPR). Later, a doctor who went through the site joined the effort. After a few minutes of intense work, the man regained conscience and was taken to the hospital by an SEM ambulance team.
A new challenge three weeks later
Three weeks later, the same agent, identified as 24335, experienced another similar incident with his companion 12552. As they headed to the Vic police station, they received a warning about a fallen man in the urbanization of Soler in Gurb. Again, they were the first to arrive and they immediately started applying CPR.
In this case, the arrival of the ARRO and the SEM was crucial, as they used a defibrillator to stabilize the man, who was transferred by helicopter in a critical state but with the recovered vital constants.
Acknowledgments in the Squad Day
Both heroic actions did not go unnoticed. As part of the Squad Day recently held in the World Saint Benedict, in Sant Fruitós de Bages, the agents were recognized with bronze medals with a blue badge, symbolizing the merit and dedication to their profession. In total, 12 medals were given to agents from the Central Police Region, including those who participated in prominent operations.
A moment of community and thanks
The head of the Central Police Region, Commissioner Carles Anfruns, emphasized the importance of recognizing the efforts of the agents. He emphasized that the health of the institution is based on the daily dedication of professionals working silent for citizen security. In his speech, he emphasized the need to gain authority through credibility.
On the other hand, the Government Delegate, Elia Tortolero, emphasized the cohesion of the body of Mossos, describing them as a ‘great family’ dedicated to protecting the community with vocation and courage.
