The ICV-EUiA-EPM coalition organizes an annual meeting in Vic
The ICV-EUiA-EPM coalition, together with the Entesa pel Progrés Municipal, has held its annual meeting in Vic, focused on municipal policies. This day of reference at municipal level, known as ‘A Peu de Carrer’, is an event that brings together the different parties of the coalition to debate and propose initiatives from a municipal perspective.
Vic hosts this year’s meeting
This year, the city of Vic hosted the ‘A Peu de Carrer’ meeting, taking over from Tarragona, which hosted the event the previous year. The day took place in the Great Hall of the University of Vic and included conferences and workshops on topics such as inclusion, modernization, sustainability and participation in municipal politics.
Ecosocialist councilors share their experiences
During the meeting, ecosocialist councilors from different councils had the opportunity to present their experiences in the implementation of municipal policies. They have shared their knowledge and highlighted the challenges and opportunities they have encountered in areas such as inclusion, modernization, sustainability and citizen participation.
A manifesto for better municipal financing
The meeting has also served as a platform to present a manifesto agreed by the coalition, in which better funding for the municipalities is demanded. The aim of this demand is to guarantee the necessary resources for the effective implementation of municipal policies and the well-being of citizens.
Prominent presence of political leaders
The day had the participation of the top leaders of the parties that make up the coalition, such as Joan Saura, president of ICV, and Jordi Fàbrega, representative of EPM. Their interventions have been relevant and have highlighted the coalition’s commitment to municipal policies and their interest in improving the quality of life of citizens.
