ERC and CiU de Taradell discuss the security of the main festival
Taradell’s municipal plenum focused its discussion on the music concerts organized during the past fiesta major. Security at Pujoló and Coma del Reig was discussed during the concerts, with criticism from the opposition, especially from Esquerra (ERC), about the lack of surveillance around the concert area. The mayor, Lluís Verdaguer, justified himself by saying that there was a risk to the integrity of the auxiliaries of the urban guard and that there were only attitudes of incivility.
Unanimous agreement to terminate the contract for the construction of the indoor swimming pool
The municipal council unanimously approved the initiation of procedures to terminate the contract with the company responsible for the construction of the indoor swimming pool. The purpose of this decision is to claim damages for the abandonment of the work, seize the bond and be able to re-award the work to another company.
Support for the motion of the Sant Vicenç de Torelló City Council for a combined police force
The plenary also unanimously approved supporting the motion of the Sant Vicenç de Torelló City Council to have a combined police force led by the County Council. In addition, the few organized cultural activities were criticized and it was highlighted that the plenary session was held at the Costa i Font Cultural Center due to the works at the town hall.
