The municipal council approves the increase in ordinances and fees
The municipal council of Centelles has approved a 4.6% increase in the main ordinances and fees for 2009. This increase is based on the estimated CPI for this year and affects the garbage fee and the vehicle tax of mechanical traction However, the IBI will not undergo any modification. According to Josep Paré, finance councilor of Centelles town hall, this increase is moderate and only affects deficit services.
Increase in rates for educational and water services
Within the approved ordinances, the 12% increase in two nursery school fees and the 10% increase in the music school fee stands out. Regarding garbage, despite being a deficit service, it has not increased further since 80% of the cost is already covered and the context of the economic crisis has been taken into account. In addition, the water supply rate increases by 11% to cover the investments made.
Awarding of the construction works of the indoor swimming pool
The municipal council has also awarded the second phase of the indoor swimming pool construction works to the company Dorseran. This company was the only one to submit to the tender and has already executed the first phase, which consisted of the structure. It is expected that the construction of the water vessel will end in September 2009 and that the indoor swimming pool will begin to function on that date.

Finally, the municipal council has accepted the resignation of councilor Rosa Díaz of the PSC for personal and work reasons.
