A unique experience for students
From Monday to Friday, the Escola Municipal de Música d’Artés will host a special edition of the Fantastic Week, an event that completely transforms the school’s usual activity. During this week, students will have the opportunity to enjoy musical and artistic work in a unique thematic context that varies each year.
FestEMMAjor: a look at the past
This year’s Fantastic Week, called FestEMMAjor, is dedicated to the Major Holidays of the 60s and 70s of the last century. These parties were characterized by the marquee and the activities that took place there. Throughout the week, students will participate in a series of activities that will explore the artistic aspect of these popular celebrations.
A Major Party for everyone
The Fantastic Week will culminate with a full Festa Major program for all ages. This program will include a Children’s Party, a proclamation, a habanera song, a parade, a popular breakfast and a gala dance. These events will be open to the general public, so that everyone can enjoy the festive atmosphere and participate in the activities.
Workshops and activities for everyone
Throughout the week, students of different ages will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and activities related to the preparation of FestEMMAjor. There will be rehearsals of orchestras, charangas and choirs, dance workshops to learn how to dance the waltz and rock’n’roll, and craft workshops to make the party even more special. In addition, there will be activities to get to know better the characteristics and functioning of the major festivals of the 60s and 70s.

The Fantastic Week at the Municipal Music School of Artés is a unique opportunity for students to enjoy music and art in a different context. With a program rich in activities and with a fascinating theme, this event will surely leave a mark in the memory of the participants.
