More than 4,000 students discover the possibilities of the future
The Saló dels Oficis, organized by the Fundació dels Oficis and the Figueres City Council, took place at the city’s fairgrounds for three days. This event was an opportunity for more than 4,000 secondary school students to get to know the different professional families offered by institutes and centers specialized in Vocational Training in Alt Empordà.
The Salon has brought together representatives from a hundred companies who have been able to explain their work and job opportunities to the young students. Through practical workshops and direct information, students have been able to gain a clearer vision of the future options offered by these professional families.
An environment of profitable activity
During the three days of the Trade Show, the marquee and the outdoor space were full of activity. According to representatives of the teaching and business sectors, the interest and preparation of the students, who had previously worked on their participation in this event, stood out. This prior preparation has been very positive, as the students have come with their chosen professional family and eager to learn more about their future possibilities.
The managing director of the Fundació dels Oficis, Meritxell Garrido, has highlighted the importance of professional guidance from the first ESO. According to Garrido, this initiative gives more impetus to guidance and helps students make more informed decisions about their future careers.
