by PREMIUM.CAT

An expansion and reform project

The expansion and reform works of the Moisès Broggi Primary Care Center (CAP) in l’Escala have already begun and are expected to last a year. The project consists of the construction of a new building adjacent to the current CAP, which will also be subject to reform.

Improvement of services and facilities

With the expansion, the CAP will have 25 consultations, both scheduled care and continuous and urgent care. The building, with two floors, will have on the ground floor continuous and urgent care with external and differentiated access, where the ambulance base of the Medical Emergency Service will be located. The first floor of the extension will be used as rest areas for on-call and Emergency Medical Service professionals.

The new facilities will be internally connected to the existing building and will share the same admissions and reception desk. The expansion will free up spaces in the current CAP that will be used to reorganize it and obtain a more transparent care area. Scheduled care will be maintained in this area.

Details of the work and financing

In total, the work will act on a built surface of 1,023 square meters, 509 of extension, 400 of reform and 114 of the ambulance base of the Medical Emergency Service. The work is financed by the Catalan Health Service, and of the 1.8 million euros foreseen, 1.6 correspond to the execution of the work, awarded to the company Cosplaan, Obras y Servicios Laantit, SL, and 250,000 euros, to an equipment forecast. The project is designed by Coll-Leclerc Arquitectes.
