Aigües de Barcelona wins the 2023 Company of the Year award
In one of the years in which it has become more visible how serious the impact of climate change can be on the economy, Aigües de Barcelona, the public-private entity responsible for managing the integral water cycle in Barcelona and the its metropolitan area yesterday received the crown for business project of the year 2023. This was decided by the jury that makes up the Banco Sabadell Company of the Year 2023 awards, a recognition that is announced annually by EL PERIÓDICO and that this year has overturned in sustainability and, in particular, in the complex situation with which Aigües de Barcelona has had to deal.
Public-private collaboration against drought
At the gala held at the Llotja de Mar, Aigües de Barcelona was recognized for its work in the management of the integral water cycle in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The vice president of the company, Ciril Rozman, emphasized that the drought is a very serious and worrying challenge that Catalonia is currently facing. Rozman stressed the importance of public-private collaboration to face these types of challenges more effectively.
Recognition to Marco Sansavini
In addition to the award to Aigües de Barcelona, the event also recognized the work of Marco Sansavini, president of Vueling, as Entrepreneur of the Year 2023. Sansavini highlighted the crisis that aviation has experienced with the pandemic COVID-19 and highlighted the importance of business transformation and survival in this context.
Other notable awards
In addition to the awards to Aigües de Barcelona and Marco Sansavini, other companies and entrepreneurs were recognized in this edition of the Banc Sabadell Company of the Year awards. Among the awardees are the construction company 011h, the ventilation systems company Soler & Palau (S&P), the spin-off Peptomyc, the Do Good initiative of Value Retail, the company Moventia, the company Picvisa and the entrepreneur of the year.
