A Trail School Circuit for the New Generations
The sneakers of the region’s youth have been laced with determination. Last weekend, with the celebration of the Empordà Challenge in Palau-saverdera, the first edition of the Regional Children’s Trail Circuit coordinated by the Alt Empordà Sports Council was inaugurated. This circuit consists of four mountain races ranging from 300 meters to 5 kilometers, aimed at school-age runners.
Promotion of Sport and Healthy Habits
This initiative, carried out with the collaboration of local organizing entities, aims to promote sport, healthy habits and the discovery of the nearby natural environment. Through this circuit, the aim is to expose the participants to non-conventional sports, such as sports in nature, and to promote values such as solidarity, personal improvement and equality.
Details of the Races
The races are open to youngsters from 3 to 14, with a family run for all ages. The scoring system encourages participation and not competition, with routes adapted to each age group. Registrations are done online and allow participants to join all tests for a fixed price.
Registration and Coordination
The Alt Empordà Sports Council manages this circuit, with an awards ceremony scheduled for June 8 in Vilajuïga. Participants have the option to participate in all races or choose just one, with affordable entry costs to encourage everyone’s inclusion in this unique sporting experience.
