The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a special forecast for Holy Week, highlighting the instability in the Canary Islands due to the presence of a dana. This atmospheric disturbance has caused abundant rains since Thursday, with prospects of intensifying during the weekend, accompanied by storms.

In addition, the first snowflakes have been recorded on Teide, and temperatures have dropped significantly, especially in interior and mid-range areas.

Special Forecast for Holy Week throughout the Country

During Friday the 22nd to Sunday the 24th, stable weather is expected to predominate nationwide, with the exception of a cold front near the Cantabrian Sea on Saturday. In the Canary Islands, instability is anticipated with widespread showers, possibly intense and persistent, accompanied by storms, especially on Saturday.

For Monday the 25th to Wednesday the 27th, uncertainty is expected, with the probability of widespread and abundant rainfall in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. The snow level could drop abruptly, generating snowfall in the mountains and nearby areas.
