A new horizon for Catalan savings banks
The Boards of Directors of the banks in Manlleu, Sabadell and Terrassa have given the green light to the integration process, with meetings planned for the month of May.

The resulting new fund will have an approximate size of 30,000 million euros in assets, placing it in a prominent position within the Spanish financial landscape.
Reorganization and adjustments
A transition from 760 to 610 outlets is planned in a two-year graduated process, with labor adjustments for a final workforce of around 2,900 employees.

The organizational chart contemplates a decentralized structure for Social Work and a clear division of responsibilities in key areas such as risk, financing and human resources.

The Unnim project complies with the solidity and viability requirements imposed by the competent authorities, ensuring the solvency of the entities involved.
Future perspectives i terms
It is expected that the meetings for the consolidation of the new entity will be held in mid-May 2010, with a later deadline for registration in the Mercantile Registry.
