A face-to-face meeting after the pandemic
The April municipal meeting in Sant Feliu de Llobregat was the first to be held in person in the Town Hall meeting room since the beginning of the pandemic. After more than a year of teleconferences, this was an opportunity for council members to meet in person and discuss issues important to the city.
Approval of the minutes of the previous plenary session
During the plenary, the minutes of the ordinary session for the month of March were unanimously approved. This point was approved without any objection from the opposition, demonstrating a general consensus on the issues discussed in the previous session.
Debate on holding plenary sessions in the plenary session under construction
One of the topics that generated debate during the plenary session was the government’s decision to hold plenary sessions in the Town Hall’s plenary session, even though the works are not yet finished. Among them, it was approved that the Burial Report would become the Sant Feliu 2030 Report, a workspace for the development of the city. In the area of budget amendments, a credit amendment of the year was approved with the support of the majority of parties. Changes were also approved in the public fees for educational services 0-3 and the Municipal Music School, with an increase of 7.4%. These decisions generated some debate and criticism from the opposition.

During the plenary session, several extrajudicial recognitions of credit presented by the finance councilor were approved. These recognitions were approved with the support of the government team and the abstention of the opposition.
Modification of the municipal staff
Another issue debated during the plenary was the modification of the staff, the job catalog and the municipal organization chart. This motion included the creation of new staff positions and the reorganization of different areas of the City Council. This proposal was approved with the support of the government team and some opposition parties, while other parties expressed their reservations about this decision.

During the plenary, other important points were approved, such as professional compatibility with a private activity and an amendment due to a material error to a previous agreement. The decree to initiate proceedings for the transfer of a municipal lot for the construction of a primary care emergency center in Sant Feliu was also reported.
