Presentation of musical events
This Thursday, at the Taverna dels Jardins Joan March, the Culture Area of Pollença City Council presented two of the outstanding musical events of the summer cultural program: the Catalan music festival Pollença Rock 2024 and the concert of Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Dausà.
Pollença Rock 2024
The first edition of Pollença Rock will be held on July 29 at the old soccer field in Ca n’Escarrintxo. The festival will feature the participation of prominent groups in the rock scene in the Catalan language, such as Els Pets, Tots Sants, Negre and Òrbita 90. Tickets have been sold quickly since the announcement of the festival through social networks , demonstrating great public interest. The culture councilor of Pollença City Council, Miquel Àngel Sureda, highlighted the combination of groups with a long history and emerging formations, making the festival an intergenerational experience.
Concert by Joan Dausà
The concert of the Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Dausà is scheduled for August 13 at the Cloister of Sant Domingo. Dausà will offer an intimate review of his recording career in a piano and voice format, providing attendees with a unique musical experience.
Artists’ reactions
Participating artists have shown their support for these events. All Saints have applauded this initiative to promote live and rock music, while Negre has expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share the stage with other established groups. Orbita 90 has highlighted the pleasure of participating in a musical event in Pollença, a town with great cultural activity.
