An Unusual Incident at the Hospital
A boarder, now accused of a crime against public health according to judicial sources, was in hospital recovering from injuries caused by a cardio-respiratory arrest. This incident took place after the patient bumped against the walls and the furniture of the room he was occupying in a hotel establishment in the Carrer de la Vall area. When the police officers arrived at the place requested by the hostel managers, they found the patient unconscious, along with firemen who had to force the door of the room.
An Unexpected Evolution
During the weekend, the patient showed a positive evolution. However, a second incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. On this occasion, the patient, who was still wearing a splint, initially managed to go unnoticed in the pants and jacket of medical personnel. This allowed a taxi driver to take him as a customer and take him in the direction of Spain.
The Arrest and the Consequences
The patient was arrested by court order accused of a crime against public health. Although at first it seemed that the patient did not need medical attention, he was transferred to the hospital center where he is being treated as a detainee in the Emergency Department. Investigations point to a possible drug-related issue, and the incident remains under investigation.
The Escape and the Search
After the incident, the patient tried to escape disguised as a health worker and as a passenger in a taxi heading for Spain. However, he was intercepted before crossing the Spanish-Andorran border. The exact destination he was looking for has not yet transpired, but the authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the detainee’s behavior.
