Exploring the intersection between philosophy and cinema
The cycle of conferences that starts on February 12 and runs until March 18 invites us to reflect on great philosophical problems through audiovisual works from different periods.
Featured speakers
The cycle will feature the participation of prominent speakers such as Maria Josep Balsach, Virginia García del Pino, Javier Rebollo, Eudald Espluga, Sergi Sánchez and Paula Kuffer, who will guide attendees on a fascinating journey between the audiovisual world and the word.
Programming and venues
The conferences will take place in the Mercè Cultural Center and in the House of Culture, conceived and coordinated by the Girona Film Critics Collective, in collaboration with the Municipal School of Humanities of the Girona City Council and the House of Culture of the Provincial Government of Girona.
Thematic diversity
The cycle will address six audiovisual works from different periods, exploring the great philosophical challenges they pose, from look and sound to words and discursive thought.
