An unnecessary body without consensus
The Non-University Teaching Staff Board of Mallorca has asked the Ministry of Education and Universities to abolish the Training, Innovation and Research Center for School Management (CFIRDE), an entity that “was created without any type of consultation prior to the unions and without the support of the educational community”.
The formation of the management teams, competence of the CEPs
The Board is of the opinion that the training of the management teams corresponds to the Teacher Training Centers and, therefore, it does not make sense to double an expenditure that does not contribute anything: “What is needed is to provide the CEPs of the staff and the necessary resources to continue offering training of quality, which does not establish any kind of barrier to those people who want to train and offers more training options».
CFIRDE expenditure, better allocated to other needs
The Personnel Board considers that the expenditure generated by the CFIRDE must be dedicated to “improving the social and working conditions of the teaching staff and to face the deficiencies of the educational system of the Balearic Islands, such as the reduction of ratios, attention to the diversity and the air conditioning plan for the centers, the reduction of bureaucracy and the improvement of teachers’ remuneration, among many other measures that are still waiting to be fulfilled in the 2023 Improvement Agreement”.
